Summary

BRIEF

Crown Royal wanted to capture the easygoing energy of summer in “Kick Back with Crown Royal,” starring reality TV icon Rob Rausch and a group of friends. The challenge? We were shooting in Georgia in February and needed to make it feel like the middle of summer.

PRODUCTION APPROACH

Makers produced the project from the ground up, managing logistics, local crews and celebrity talent. We ran two producers in tandem—one leading physical production and the other managing the client and creative side. Then came the challenge of making winter look like summer. We supplemented the natural landscape with additional greenery and even gave the grass a layer of non-toxic paint to create the lush, vibrant look the campaign called for. It was a series of small production tricks that made a very un-summer-like Georgia feel completely convincing on camera.

OUTCOME

The result was a summer campaign that made February in Georgia look like the perfect place to kick back, with all the production trickery happening behind the scenes.
